Boracay have two primary tourism beaches which is the White Beach and Bulabog Beach this are located on opposite sides of the island’s narrow central sea. The island has several other beaches. White Beach faces westward while the Bulabog Beach faces eastward. White Beach is the main tourism beach it is located for about 4 kilometers and is lined with resorts, hotels, lodging houses, restaurants and other tourism- related businesses. In central portion there is a footpath known as the Beachfront Path separating the beach itself from the establishments located along it. Bulabog Beach is across the island from White beach, secondary tourism beach and boracay’s main windsurfing and kite boarding area. Leisure activities in Boracay are scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, kite boarding and beach relaxation. Boracay is the site of world – class 18 hole par 72 golf course designed by Graham Marsh. In addition, Boracay offers a wide range of restaurants, bars, pubs and nightclubs.
Boracay accommodation has different types scattered all over the island, ranging from luxurious hotel types to budget, Spartan rooms. Location is often specified in relation to three boat station. Station 2 is in the center of the beach; station 1 and 3 is in the midway to the north and south endpoints. Station 1 is the place where you can find the more isolated accomodations, offering peace, quite and for those looking for a respite from the boracay night scene. Station 2 is meant for those who want to be within proximity of the bars and Station 3 it’s the area where most of the cheaper lodgings are located. Most Boracay Hotels and resort have seasonal price levels. Some have peak period pricing during periods of heavy tourisms and holidays which includes Christmas, new year, Easter, holy week and Chinese new year. Boracay lies at North West tip of Panay, in the West Visayas Region, off the Sibuyan Sea or region VI of the Philippines.
Whether you travel or go by plane or by boat, the port of entry for Boracay Island is a small town of Caticlan on the mainland. The short boat trip to Boracay’s jetty port of Cagban cost 20 pesos, tourist have to pay 50pesos for terminal fee and another 50pesos for environmental fee. Tricycle is also available 20pesos up to 150pesos depends where your resort is. By plane the local airport is Caticlan which is served by two airlines most flying from Manila. For flights between Manila and Caticlan, turboprop aero planes are used. Flight times range from 35 – 45 minutes. Flights from Manila usually leave from the domestic airport and not the domestic terminal at the international airport. The airlines serves Caticlan are the South East Asian airlines (SEAIR) and Zest Airways formerly Asian Spirit. So try visit the beautiful places of the Philippines and the Boracay Island.
